One of my favorite Valentine’s Day traditions is breakfast in bed with my husband, so today I wanted to share a sneak peek of what we will be cooking up for the occasion. First things first, I bought a heart shaped waffle maker {here} to make the cutest and most festive Valentine’s Day breakfast in bed. Mouth watering waffles, check! Next I prepared each of us a tray, his complete with syrup, whipped cream and blueberry toppings, while for mine I chose syrup, whipped cream, and strawberries {perfectly his and hers!}. I laid my gold trim Kim Seybert napkins matched back to my gold flatware, which I tied together with XOXO hangtags {a sweet touch that I also used here}. I then poured each of us a glass of water in my favorite water glasses and topped them off with leftover red and white straws from this post. Lastly I sprinkled {well, actually my daughter sprinkled} pink chocolate heart candies around the trays and duvet.
Now if you are really looking to keep the morning love alive {sometimes a bit tricky once you have kids}, add mimosas into the drink mix. I just brought everything over to my bedside table for mixing. The ingredients: Veuve Clicquot champagne plus fresh orange juice served in Juliska Amalia flutes. To make the display picture perfect, I placed a pretty arrangement of ranunculus in a Robert Siegel Studio flower vase alongside the glasses.
A few sweet gifts for him {see ideas here} and her {a Diptyque candle to add to my never ending collection}, and we are adequately spoiled! I hope this inspires you to get lavishly cozy with your loved one on Valentine’s Day!
