Suburban moms hang in their backyards, city moms hang on their roof decks. Oh the life of a New Yorker!
My group of mommy friends from Baby Yoga {yes, this exists and is fabulous – we do Karma Kids} has started a play date rotation where every few weeks a mom hosts the other moms and babies for lunch and playtime. I hosted mine at my apartment {recap HERE} but since the summer weather is coming to an end my friend Samantha decided to host a sunset get-together on her roof and include the hubbies as well.
The babies had a blast as they {thankfully still slowly} crawled around on the small area of padded cushions we brought. Samantha made home-made apple sauce purees for the babies to enjoy while the parents sipped wine from plastic Starbucks cups and nibbled on Farmers Market cheese. It was the perfect two hour event {baby events should always be short!}, and to end the evening Samantha sang sweetly to the babies {she has a phenomenal voice}, leaving them all spell-bound and comatose {the picture of them all staring in one direction says it all!}.
For attire, the FHB wore her GAP Leopard Jeans {link below} and a “READ TO ME” t-shirt from Nordstrom {which is sold out so I recommend a few others below too}. Going forward I will need to figure out how to bundle up the little princess without too much fussing – wish me luck!
