Picnic on my Patio with Joss & Main
May 10, 2018
Now that we are hosting meals on our patio on the regular, I wanted to set a beautiful table to spend an evening outside with friends. In a Spring state of mind, I immediately began brainstorming a sea of blues with pops of yellow {a color story I canโt seem to get enough of lately!}. Joss & Main was kind enough to help me bring this vision to life, offering a gorgeous selection of outdoor entertaining and tabletop options {I was pleasantly surprised because I usually think of the site for furniture!!}. I am so excited to share a look at what I created.
But first, a closer look at what I chose, because I am obsessed with my finds and I know that I will be using them all summer long. First and foremost, these plates are acrylic!!! I know, I also did a double take when reading the website description… and seriously they are SO cute in person and have a nice weight to them. I bought the dinner and salad sizes because I plan to use them from dinner through dessert. The frilled edge and the beautiful design are so much fancier than any other outdoor plates that I own – score!! Then tying back to that outdoor feel, I was really feeling the wooden pieces. The gorgeous pack of 2 wooden trays with a rope handle for displaying anything from cheeses to sandwiches to candles, they are so practical! Then I am IN LOVE with the beverage server setย {ie. the lemonade basket display}. How cute is it for carrying a pitcher and drinks from your kitchen out to the pool or patio. {They are glass though just an FYI!!}. And the glasses are footed, which feels so elegant, especially with a little lemon wedge on the rim {see them in full displayed on the table!}.
I decided to go against the norm when it came to my centerpieces… after all it can be hot outside, which is not the best environment for blooms. So instead of a fancy floral arrangement, I placed this set of three white canistersย in the center of my table… so cute right!! And they are just as functional as they are pretty; you can fill them with extra napkins, forks etc that you donโt want to blow away!! Around the canisters I filled my table with a woodenย cheese board {I love that the knives stay attached via magnet} and a wooden tray with a loaf of fresh bread. Eating outside should be relaxed and casual, so I always want my guests to sit down and help themselves!! I didn’t want to leave out flowers completely, so I love this delicate display for single flower sprigs {the rustic glass vase and iron tray set}. You can take the small vases and place them around your table, or leave in the little tray in a row. And lastly, to bring in that pop of yellow I was craving I sprinkled lemons throughout {a fab and economical way to add color to any table all summer long!}.
So looking forward to enjoying the outdoors in style!!
