Ah Spring… finally we can spend some much needed time outdoors! The one internal dilemma I always face when it comes to spring-time attire is that the average day in NYC ranges from a high of 70 to a low of 50; truly a wide range! I always wonder whether I should wear a jacket since the day will start off chilly, but then do I want to carry it around once it warms up? Also a sudden pregnancy heat flash may make me break into a sweat, so I need something breathable! I found the perfect maternity long sleeve mesh sweater to solve this issue – lightweight but covered up – no jacket required! Then since I am so sick of the same jeans I wore all winter long, I am obsessed with my AG denim maternity mint colored skinny jeans that crop just above the ankle. Then I finished off the look with my Elaine Turner cork open toe sandals (these heels are perfect for pregnancy because they are not too high and incredibly comfortable due to the thicker heel) with delicate gold bangles (pieces that really scream spring and are adjustable even if your wrists are swollen!). I love that I made this on-trend look work in maternity options (after all, I am 7 months pregnant… well, 29 weeks in these photos!).
Here’s the breakdown to shop my outfit: Top: A Pea in the Pod Long Sleeve Maternity Sweater $88.00 / Pants: A Pea in the Pod AG Jeans: Secret Fit Belly Twill 5 Pocket Skinny Leg Maternity Crop Pants, Olive $195.00/ Bag: Old Navy Women’s Faux-Leather Tasseled Bucket Bags $32.94 / Shoes: Elaine Turner Renata Cork Heel $275.00 / Bracelets: Henri Bendel Luxe Petite Nail Cuff $88.00 & (similar) Henri Bendel Princess Bangel $98.00 / Sunglasses: Rayban Wayfarer Sunglasses $160.00
And of course, I love that this look is easily transitional from chic enough to wear to a day-time coffee meeting to playing around with your little one. Baby Reese of course crashed our photo shoot but my outfit didn’t slow me down one bit!
