Ready for Summer Lemon Cheeseboard

Summer-ready Spread

As we welcome the warmer temperature, I am excited to start incorporating lemons into my displays once again! Lemons are so much fun to work with because they add that instant pop of color and work as a beautiful accent on any board. To compliment my lemons I chose all yellow and green veggies. Yellow carrots, yellow cauliflower, yellow pepper, green persian cucumbers, and green grapes. Note that come this time of year I always add more veggies than usual because it’s closer to bathing suit season and everyone is eating a lighter healthier diet!! Read of some tips and tricks I incorporated into today’s spread!

It’s all in the Details

A few fun ideas I featured on this board … 1. Rather than a bowl for veggie dip, I used a yellow pepper!! I simply cut the top off the yellow pepper, cleaned out the inside, and filled with a store bought veggie dip! 2. Rather than normal garnishes, I used sprigs of eucalyptus (which smells so fresh and last for days!), lemons (which I halfed so you can see the pretty inside, and yellow roses. The roses make the board so elegant. 3. While I kept my cheeses simple, I did add just a small dish of honey for anyone who wants a dab on top of the extra sharp cheddar. It’s a delightful pairing!!
