Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt

You may remember in last week’s post I talked about how we switched all of our door hardware to Schlage, taking our house from an outdated and rusted gold, to a modern and fresh silver look. Up until now, door hardware was never something I looked at as a way to enhance my home’s style, but I am now a believer in how this small change can help bring the entire house together – check it out here.

One of my favorite locks that we added from Schlage though was to our kitchen door, which is on the back side of our house, the Schlage Sense™ Smart Deadbolt with Camelot trim in Satin Nickel {here}. While it has a key hole, it also has a key pad for coded entry. With my mom swinging by, our cleaning lady, and whatever other house help we have had since our move, it has been particularly helpful because everyone has a unique code rather than distributing a copy of our house keys {which makes me super nervous!}. My favorite part is the compatibility with Apple HomeKit™ technology that allows you to use your iPhone®, iPad® or iPod Touch® to “talk to unlock” your door! I love that now when I travel I no longer need to lug my key chain on trips, but can simply code myself in.

Thank you Schlage for partnering on this fun new addition to our home! To learn more about Schlage and its product offering for your next home upgrades, visit www.Schlage.com.

  1. Schlage is a wonderful brand. When installed with the correct equipment, you can control your thermostat, garage door, and lights along with your door lock. All from your phone. Very cool technology out there, and Schlage is on the forefront of it all!
