Reese’s 4th Princess Party

For Reese’s fourth birthday I wanted to throw a beautiful princess party in our backyard. I set the stage by hanging lanterns by Under the Paper Lantern in the trees, creating a princess face painting station, and setting up the most gorgeous dessert buffet. The paperless post invitation asked all the little girls to dress as princesses, and it couldn’t have been cuter! I am so excited to share how I brought this party to life {and all the fun party details!}

As guests entered the party they were greeted by a “Princess Prepping Station”. Princess Belle stood in front of a table full of princess tiaras and wands (and foam swords for the boys) and help them royally prepare to enter the party. I placed the various wands in flower vases – like a princess wand buffet. Alongside the table I had a beautiful welcome sign created by Small Moments which I placed on a large easel. Next the little girls headed to our backyard for the party.

Party activities included bouncing, princess face painting, lunch, and treats. We hung a pretty pink tent from a tree and designated it as the princess face painting station. Then on our basketball court we had a huge princess bounce house. Around our patio we placed tables and chairs with pink linens for lunch. Alongside the tables, I did a buffet of sandwiches, chicken tenders, fruit and veggie platters, popcorn boxes {which I had made with custom stickers that said “Happy birthday Reese” from Beau-Coup}, applesauces, juice boxes and mini waters. My favorite detail was the “floral” four we made by hand and stuck on the wall behind the lunch display {I will share the DIY on the blog shortly!}.

The dessert table was my favorite feature of the party. The stunning three layer castle cake was designed and created by Miami cake designer Paola’s Cake Atelier as the focal point. On either side, I did candy displays {which I did similar in this post – check it out for links to all the glass jars!}, princess cookies {also from Beau-Coup}, and pretty much every type of pink candy you could think of!

As guests left the party, each child was given a bucket that was customized with a paint pen. White buckets for the boys and pink for the girls. Inside the buckets I placed tons of little toys from the Party City’s goodies section. Princess sunglasses, princess cameras {they are actually so cute and kids love them!}, princess coloring books, and for the older girls mini gumball machines. On each bucket I hung a “Thanks for coming” hangtag. {For the boys I did the same goodies but in Paw Patrol theme.}

It couldn’t have been a sweeter day, and best of all, Reese loved every minute! I put together a little list of some of my favorite party props below!
