Plaid, burlap, hydrangeas… as I brainstormed what I wanted my next tablescape to be, it resulted in this sweet country inspired breakfast. Simple but colorful, it seems like the perfect way to get out of that winter rut and start a lovely weekend {inside} with friends.

For today’s table I picked up most of my pieces at Pottery Barn. These blue ikat napkins and blue dinner plates give the table a real pop, while I am obsessed with these CHOW salad plates {So cute!}. For water glasses to compliment the whole country theme, I used glass mason jars.

Other details include my white basketweave placemats by Chilewich, a glass carafe for serving water {similar}, and two simple stalks of hydrangea. Since my flowers were so simple, I decided to add a bowl of rich colored plums to the center of my table as well {I lined the bowl with a piece of burlap prior to placing the plums on top}.

Another cute detail which can truly be appreciated in some of the above shots are the little diplay I put together for my butter plate. Quite simple to do, I placed about two to three pieces of rosemary on a small white dish {similar}, cut a cube of butter on top, and sprinkled with a dash of sea salt. This was the perfect compliment to my buttery fresh croissants I had waiting for guests as they arrived!

Last but not least, I picked up a cute menu stand at Michael’s and printed out a small note card that read “Breakfast is served” to place at the head of my table. Can we talk about how much better it is to print the text versus writing it on one of those “trendy” chalkboard displays?!

Oh, and there I am! I know I never really make cameos in my tablescapes so today since I matched in my plaid Rails LA top, I felt semi inclined! Will try to show my face more in these sorts of posts! Hope this is the perfect start to your weekend!
