This is our first Halloween in our new house so we couldn’t wait to get together with friends for a night of costumes and games. As I shared in a previous post, I hate that Halloween has turned into a total sugar-fest {especially with my kids being so young!}, so for this Halloween Party, I thought of some fun and festive activities for the kids to show them another side of Halloween. Who needs to overload on candy when there’s so much deliciousness with these adorable faces!!

Decor: The party began long before actual guests arrived and it was a total group effort. I bought 30 mini pumpkins and gave the kids full reign to place them anywhere in the playroom they chose. Seriously, this was an entire afternoon activity, which was amazing. Meanwhile, I hung banners and bat stickers on the walls and bookshelves.

Invitation: I told everyone to put on their favorite costumes and I bought the accessories. Extra tiaras for the princess, hammers and tools for the construction boys, rattles and blocks for the babies.

Activities: I went a little crazy in the Target dollar section and bought tons of Halloween notepads, pumpkin stickers, crayons, and markers for each guest. Then I set up a little coloring station at the kids activity table {similar table}. When the kids got hungry I took out a healthy tray of fresh fruits and freeze dried bananas and served with the cutest paper plates and cups from H&M Home.

A total crowd pleaser were the Halloween gel clings that the kids had fun placing all over the windows. Party or no party, gel clings are a great easy cleanup activity for the kids {more here}! We buy them for pretty much every holiday.
