Host a Holiday Dinner Party

Holiday Dinner Table

During the cold winter, it’s so nice to have guests over for Holiday celebrations at home. Even if it means ordering in food or picking up something prepared rather than cooking, I always make sure the table looks absolutely beautiful with Holiday decorations. Since Christmas is just a hop, skip, and a jump away, I couldn’t resist making Reds, Greens, and Whites my focal colors.

Table Details - Holiday Hostess

My number one priority on a beautiful table is stunning glassware. I pulled out my wedding wine glasses – the Juliska Amalia Balloon Wine Glasses – my splurge, and mixed them with affordable (although you would never guess it!) water glasses from Pier1, the Kara Tumblers. To an outsider they totally look like a set!

Holiday Dinnerware

For a Holiday Menu, there is nothing better to compliment a cold winter night than a warm soup {some of my favorites include my Sweet Potato & Carrot Soup and my Vegetarian Chili). Plus if you have fun soup bowls, they can add a cool new element to your usual table setting.

Holiday Candy - Red & White SugarfinaSugarfina Candy

My favorite decorative element was adding my ‘natural table runner’, aka – long tree branches with bright green leaves which I chopped and layered along the middle section of the table. I then added little accents like red and white Sugarfina candy in small glass dishes and Juliska votives with tea lights to create a sweet and romantic ambiance.

And while I don’t usually put dessert out on the table prior to dinner, this peppermint bark matched so perfectly, I couldn’t resist displaying it on my Juliska Cake Stand!
