Host a Macaron & Rosé Party

When my girlfriend turned 30 she asked if I could throw a low key celebration with a few of our closest friends. So what does every girl want for their birthday? Sweets and bottomless bottles of wine {especially when turning 30!}, so I was happy to oblige and host the dinner at my apartment where we would have my entire wine fridge easily accessible.

Because this was a birthday celebration, the dessert needed to be at the forefront. To do so, I gave each guest their own mini cake stand of macarons at their assigned seat. {FYI, macarons are the hip new version of birthday cake.} Then, for the other details on this table, I really loved a rich gold vibe complimented by delicate white ranunculus flowers. I chose Chilewich Dahlia placemats complimented by West Elm gold flatware {currently on sale!}, Kim Seybert napkins with a gold-hued boarder and Mikasa white dinner plates with a simple gold rim. For glassware, I chose Villeroy & Boch Boston goblets for water and Reidel wine glasses to serve Whispering Angel Rosé {just the right touch of pink!}. The finishing touch were the mini cake stands {similar} topped with a heaping stack of vanilla macarons.

The party was a hit. I served dinner buffet-style, with a shredded kale, goat cheese and beet salad to start followed by Asian glazed salmon. Hooray for the perfectly sweet dinner party!
