Miami Patio Tour with Spring Makeover

When people ask me what my favorite room in my house is… I always answer, “Can I say my patio?!” You see, living in Miami, your patio becomes like a second living room. We are always hanging outside eating lunch, watching the kids swim, enjoying an evening cocktail… so it’s always been important to me that our space outside reflect my style as much so as the inside.

When we first moved into our house I was lucky enough to partner with Frontgate to furnish this outdoor space. From outdoor rugs, to outdoor dining and living sets {that are beautiful and comfortable enough to be inside!}, I had no idea the space could look so great, and be so perfect when it came to entertaining guests. Back then though, I wanted a much cleaner, simpler palette. Something with minimal color. {See the before here.} Well, come spring I was ready to bring in some color, bring in some accessories, and really jazz up the place. It was time for a mini makeover.

I combed through Frontage’s catalogues and online site and decided that a true impact piece would be a big and brightΒ statement rug, and wow did I find a winner! I was a tad worried it wouldn’t be “me”… I mean, I am the girl who likes all white! But I am now OBSESSED!! Contrasted to white patio furniture it makes the space playful and inviting. To compliment the rug I brought in outdoor pillows with bright blue accents. I just love these tassel pillows on my lounge chairs, and and on my newΒ Weston tufted Sofa, I love my theΒ chevron pillows. Everyone’s favorite though is theΒ sweetΒ Flamingo pillow!!

Over at my dining table, I wanted to compliment the blue with some Spring friendly tableware. I placed Savannah pebble dinner platesΒ under the prettiest floral dishes, theΒ Savannah bloom salad platesΒ and Savannah bloom bowls. I tied back to the blue withΒ Kim Seybert bamboo placematsΒ andΒ Jupiter beaded glasses.

When it came to accessories, the Catawba Lanterns STOLE THE SHOW. The large size is quite large, which is amazing and impactful. And at night filled with flameless candles, they create such a romantic atmosphere. It’s accessories like these lanterns, that take a space from “looking good” to looking “looking decorated”.Β Head over to Frotngate’s blog to read my full interview on the makeover.

I am excited to share endless stories of how I entertain out here allΒ Spring and Summer long!!
