My sister just took a new job as a teacher and it got me thinking about how much I loved the process of getting ready to head back to school when I was a kid. Shopping for school supplies, organizing my desk, and picking out my first day of school outfit would get me jittery with excitement. Reese isn’t quite old enough to be heading to school this Fall, but it doesn’t mean she can’t dress the part.

Today’s outfit I picked up at Old Navy {which is packed with everything you need for back to school from uniform shirts to inexpensive tees – because we all know kids destroy everything!}. For her, I chose two school essentials – one, a pair of printed pants, the skinny side-zip terry legging {I love the zipper detail at the ankle} and two, an adorable grey button-up cardigan {because classrooms can get chilly!}. Also not shown here are the ridiculously suede cut-out boots I swooped up.

Who doesn’t love endless bows to compliment the look? I chose a great big bow clip for her hair and mini Melissa shoes for bows on her toes. I am already getting teary-eyed thinking of sending her to school… I am glad for now we are just playing dress up!
