Nashville Master Bedroom Tour

While our house is still bustling with construction for another few weeks, it was important to me to make our master bedroom a cozy sanctuary away from the chaos. Still a bit bare {because it is seriously double the size of our last bedroom}, we have been slowly filling the room with new pieces like our new Inspire Q king size bed and beautiful Echo Design bedding to make it feel like home.

We brought our favorite Slim Aarons photo, Poolside Gossip, with us and hung it in a prime spot on our wall across from the bed. Much like the photo influenced the color palette for our room in NYC, it did once again when we chose the Mykonos Bedding Collection by Echo Design. Their king duvet mini set includes a beautiful print duvet and 2 shams; I am in love with the light mosaic pattern which really brightens and lightens the room! Then doesn’t my bed look insanely comfortable? Kind of like a hotel?! If you want that whole overflowing with cozy pillows “hotel look” you must splurge on king pillows and euro shams {the Echo set includes the covers}. These pillow inserts make a world of a difference.

Then for our furniture, we chose a new Inspire Q bed, the Inspire Q Marion nailhead Wingback Tufted King in Grey Linen. {Transitioning from a queen to king is no joke! I feel like I don’t see my husband anymore!!} Then I kept my Inspire Q Kenton x Base Wood side tables in white, but updated to mirrored bedside table lamps, the Inspire Q Felton 3-way crystal mirror lamps. We painted the walls and trim of the room a clean white {White Dove OC-17 Satin Impervo by Benjamin Moore}, the perfect compliment to the whole color scheme. Then we wanted blackout shades that matched so we ordered white ones from ShadesOnline.com. {In the picture above you can tell how much space we are dealing with – holy moly!}.

Our new Jonathan Adler Morrow Settee matches perfectly to our Echo Design shams so I placed it in the room as a filler although after consulting with our interior designer we may opt for other seating space in front of the bed!! Guess I will have to keep you posted! Looking forward to sharing more of the reveal with you guys soon!

Tell Us What You Think

Your email address will not be published. Required fields are marked *

  1. Which bed frame do you like better, the Inspire Q or the one you had in your NYC apartment? (I’m starting a renovation of my NYC place). Love your master bedroom so far!!!

    1. Hey Beth, I love them both. I thought my last Inspire Q bed worked well for a queen while my current one is definitely best situated in a room with extra space since the headboard is pronounced on the sides. But for both I love the grey linen fabric!!

  2. Looking just great so far! It takes soooo much time and effort to pull a house together…so I feel your moving pains!

  3. We have a new build and also have white dove trim and wall color by Ben Moore in our new home. Can you tell me the exact blackout shades you ordered? THANK YOU!!!!
