New York City Dining Room & Kitchen Tour

Today is officially our move-in day to the new house. As you are reading this post I am probably knee deep in boxes and clutter – my worst nightmare. As a means for closure, I thought what better way to officially say goodbye to our old home than to post the very last ‘Home Tour’ post as #ChateauFH in NYC.

Today’s tour is a look at our foyer, living room {more photos here}, dining room and kitchen {see the rest of the rooms here}. This apartment was truly an amazing one and I am sad to leave it. I decorated the apartment on my own and I love how it came together. With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Fifth Avenue in the heart of NYC, the apartment didn’t need much in the way of color. I left the walls white and styled a very minimalist modern look throughout. To brag for a second, my apartment has been featured on Apartment TherapyStyle Me Pretty Home Tour, Style Me Pretty Modern Living Room Style, and as a stop on the New York Junior League House Tour – it’s been such a source of pride and an amazing place to entertain.

On a more intimate note, it was the first home to our son, the location for endless events, the start of my hashtag #FHCoffeetable where I showcased weekly coffee table stylings, the destination for oversized cheese platters and too many cocktails, endless kiddie bath time parties, and much more.

About the apartment: A brand new building, we were the were the first to move into the unit located in the Flatiron District just a little over a year ago. The apartment feels light and airy with white oak flooring, the kitchen features Balsatina stone slab countertops and painted glass cabinetry, the bathrooms feature fixtures from the Zuccehtti-Kos Faraway collection, and each bedroom overlooks Fifth Avenue with floor-to-ceiling windows. The apartment has an open plan flowing from living room, dining room, to kitchen which makes for the perfect entertaining space.

Furniture: The living room features a divisional couch from Modani, standing lamps from West Elm, grey linen stools from Inspire Q, coffee table from TUI Lifestyle and Barcelona Chairs. My favorite piece of art in the apartment is the 72″ wide photograph by Stephanie Vovas that hangs above the couch. Since I entertain endlessly, I use my wide assortment of glassware as decor, displaying crystal goblets and flower vases on open shelving alongside the dining table. Then I love moving my Target bar cart around the apartment to serve drinks for parties. The remainder of the art throughout consists of Oliver Gal, Slim Aarons, and prints from the MOMA museum such as the Mark Rothko print hanging in our kitchen. I get endless compliments on our sleek high chair {that’s actually cool enough to keep out at all times}, which is by Boon.

  1. Hello! I follow your instagram and have always wanted to know who makes those white and gold canisters. You have them displayed on the kitchen countertop, large and medium next to the plant on the 8th picture down from the top. Are they made by Rosanna by chance? Just trying to find them!

    -Thank you
