1. Bridal Shower Party with bed Bath & Beyond

I was so excited when Bed Bath & Beyond asked me to partner with them by throwing a gorgeous Bridal Shower Party using their new collection Oliver & Olivia. Not only because the collection was beautiful, but also because it brought back endless memories of my engagement year when I registered at Bed Bath & Beyond and then had a pink bridal shower at home! Isn’t it amazing how it all comes full circle!

Well sadly for me when I was registering, Bed Bath & Beyond didn’t have this gorgeous new line Oliver & Olivia, which includes everything in this display from the dishware, to the stemware, to the flatware, because it is beyond stunning. Fast forward to today though it is perfectly timed, because as I am in love with golds, especially anything gold-rimmed {like their gorgeous glasses!}. The Oliver & Olivia Madison Gold Dinnerware Collection is timeless white bone china that brings an effortless elegance to any table, while being incredibly versatile. {The collection has options to do the rims in platinum as well, see here!}. The Madison Gold Stemware Collection which includes a white wine, red wine, champagne flute, and cocktail glass {or as I prefer to call it, a coupe!}, is fine crystal while being dishwasher safe! The Madison Gold Flatware is stainless steel, dishwasher safe, and has a mirror finish!

While the dishes really could have worked with any color story, today I went with my personal favorite, over the top pink. And while I thought about collaborating with a flower company to enhance the table, I thought a DIY story would be much better suited! I simply chose a few different pink and white flowers… pink roses, pink hydrangea, and white roses, and placed them in assorted crystal bud vases. To tie it all together, I chose pink cloth napkins which I secured with faux hydrangea napkin rings to match back to the blooms.

Whenever I host a party I like to have a few different focal points for decorating {ie. a few different “photo opp” areas} because I want my guests eyes to wander throughout the party, and for them to continue to find things that they didn’t notice when they first arrived. In today’s party I did this by creating a dessert buffet and a bar cart display alongside my table. I will share in greater detail how I created these spaces later this week on the blog.

Brides reading this, you are probably jumping out of your seat because you now have some new additions to your registry. I highly recommend heading in-store todo all of your registry even though you can add online {I found it the easiest way to navigate and stay organized, plus the registry staff is super helpful!}. Then for you hostesses, I have a unique wedding gift concept for the bride! Rather than renting everything for the party, go ahead and buy a set of her registry plates, dishes or glasses and then use them at the shower. Just wash and drop them off after the party. It saves money on rentals, plus now the bride will now have her first special memory with these pieces!

I hope you loved seeing this table as much as I enjoyed creating it! Stay tuned this week as I share more on what I served!

  2. Champagne & Macaron Dessert Bar

As you saw in my last post, I created the prettiest macaron and champagne dessert buffet to compliment my Bridal Shower party table. Today I wanted to share a closer look at the display as well as a few tips to re-creating the scene at a party of your own! Here they are… Hang a sweet banner. This Mr & Mrs Banner is from BHLDN but I also have bought customized ones on Etsy here. Put flowers on… everything. Add flowers to your cakes, cookie trays, and more! They instantly jazz up a simple white cake {how cute does this one…

  3. Bridal Shower Dessert Bar

I was so excited to be featured in Martha Stewart Weddings this weekend where I shared eight tips to creating a beautiful bridal shower dessert bar. From the flowers, to the menu, to the personalized décor, I shared my go-to Esty shops for customized straws to the cutest celebratory cake toppers {see the post here}. Today I wanted to share more photos from the shoot with a closer look at the dessert table {ie. some never before seen footage!}… here are the details. I started by accessorizing my table, stacking a pile of pastel coffee table books, sprinkling in candles, and placing geometric jars that I…

  4. Outdoor Bridal Shower Party

Right when I moved to Nashville I met Mary Huddleston the owner and founder of Please be Seated, a Luxury Event Rental Company. We immediately clicked lunching over party stories, decor concepts, and being mothers {our daughters are the same age}. So when she mentioned partnering for an upcoming photo shoot showcasing her new bars and ghost chairs to create the perfect feminine wedding vignette, I was excited to volunteer myself to style it! Debuting in the shoot where Please Be Seated’s new bar, the Vivian Bar Facade which is a gorgeous natural wood bar with a custom panel design {with white and grey…

  5. Engagement Party Brunch

With so many of my friends getting engaged this Holiday Season, I couldn’t wait to partner with BHLDN’s sweet line of bridal accessories and vintage wedding decorations to style the most gorgeous engagement party. Enter my girly and magical winter wonderland… For the centerpiece I filled a variety of vases, my favorite being the BHLDN Etched Brass Vases, with a selection of seasonal winter flowers. I chose Pink Nene Roses, White Lisianthus Roses, Blue Ice Cyprus Greenery, and Dusty Miller. I staggered the vases along a Kim Seybert metallic table runner. Then I placed vintage salad plates, dinner plates, and water glasses from Vintage Vessels…
