This past week I got to head backstage with Beauty.com as their team prepped for some of the most coveted fashion shows of New York Fashion Week 2015. So today I wanted to share the hottest products, hair styles, and nail colors taking place backstage, PLUS step by step details for how the experts created these looks! Here’s a look behind-the-scenes at some of my favorite shows…

HAIR {Hair: Odile Gilbert for Kérastase Paris}

• On wet hair, apply a Kérastase Keratine Thermiquefrom roots to ends and blowdry straight
• Create a deep, low center part that forms a “T” shape
• Section by section, blow dry the hair away from the part, moving from roots to ends while brushing in NEW Kérastase Fix Fabulousfor shine and control
• Create light texture by working V.I.P. Dry Volumizing and Texturizing Spray into the mid-lengths of the hair
• Finish with Kérastase Laque Dentelle Flexible Hold Hairspray and Kérastase Fibre Architecte to tame flyaways

HAIR {Hair: James Pecis for Beauty.com using PHYTO}

• Apply PHYTO Volume Actif Volumizing Spray from roots to ends, blow-drying through hair
• Add PHYTO Professional Intense Volume Mousse at the hairline to set any strays
• Using a large barrel iron, curl the hair and then clip in a roller set style for definition
• Once the hair comes out of the clips, the PHYTO Professional Intense Volume Mousse is used again for definition and smooth volume
• The top section of the hair is gathered back and stitched into place with elastic thread to create a smoother line
• Mist Phytolaque Soie Hairspray to finish and hold in place. Add headband and secure at the nape of the neck with a pin.

• Cleanse skin with Darphin Azahar Cleansing Micellar Water
• Apply a small amount of Darphin Hydraskin Intensive Skin-Hydrating Serum
• Underneath eyes, apply Darphin Wrinkle Corrective Eye Contour Crème
• For light hydration, apply Darphin Hydraskin Light Replenishing Moisturizing Cream Gel

HAIR {Hair: Esther Langham for Beauty.com using Alterna}

• Damp hair to start and apply a tennis ball-sized amount of Alterna Haircare Bamboo Volume Weightless Whipped Mousse from roots to ends; spread evenly
• Apply Alterna Haircare Bamboo Volume 48 Hour Sustainable Volume Spray to the roots and then dry with a blow dryer and diffuser to accentuate the hair’s natural texture
• Apply Alterna Haircare Caviar Omega + Nourishing Oil all the way through hair to help control fly-aways and add shine
• Use fingers to pull back hair right above the hair line, securing with a small elastic
• Once tied back, pull hair around the hairline and face a bit to add texture
• Add a light touch of Alterna Haircare Caviar Working Hair Spray to keep style in place
