1. Update your Home for Fall

Back in Spring when I gave my first living room tour, my room had a few bright accent items – from my flowers to my couch pillows. But now that Fall has rolled around I made a few adjustments to make my home seasonally ready. My goal: To swap the brights for neutrals so it would still feel airy and bright when guests walked in, but have an overall warmer Fall-feel. What did I do to make this happen? Excited to celebrate in her success, I wanted to host an event so she could show off her kitchen skills {plus, cooking in my kitchen meant I would be scoring the left-overs!!}. She arrived at my…

  5. Fall Wine Pairing Tips

While I love a cold glass of white wine pretty much year round, as a hostess it is important to have seasonal beverages available for guests. So come Fall as it cools down and we rotate our menus to include heartier foods like meats and heavy sauces, the appropriate fall wine pairing option should be a room temperature red wine to compliment. Personally I find Merlots to be very heavy, so I like serving Santa Margherita Chianti Classico as a happy middle ground. If you are hosting guests but not planning to serve a full sit down dinner, a recommended fall wine pairing for this wine…
